My love for babies has led me to a 20 year career as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse and 14 years as a newborn photographer. I am very comfortable handling newborns and skilled at wrapping and comforting babies.You will have a large variety of unique props, backdrops, wraps, headbands, bonnets and clothing to choose from. It is best to schedule this session before you deliver and we will adjust as needed if the delivery is early. This allows us time to plan and communicate.
Plan to schedule your session between 1-2 weeks old but it can work a bit later as well.
My studio is in West Des Moines and has a comfortable, spacious place for you to rest or participate if you want.

Do you have experience with babies?
I have 14 years of Newborn photography experience and over 20 years of experience as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. Before working in the NICU, I worked 6 years in the Pediatric Intensive Care. I also have 2 children of my own.
I have years of experience with newborns, older babies, and toddlers. I am a continuous learner and have spent years perfecting posing and wrapping methods. I am also an artist and love combining colors, textures, props, and your babies to create beautiful art.
What is included with the session price?
You will receive all the best images. I will edit them and you will receive High Resolution Digital Images with Print Release delivered by online viewing gallery. You may order prints and products at low cost through my website or wherever you choose.
Do I need to bring clothing or wraps?
I have many soft, comfortable wraps, cute outfits, bonnets, headbands and props. You are welcome to bring items that are special to you. Please let me know before your session so I can work it into the session flow.
How many photos come with each session?
There is not a minimum number of included photos. I choose the best of each pose and include all the angles and different facial expressions. I can usually accomplish 2-3 sets per hour and get multiple angles to provide variety. If the baby makes different facial expressions, yawn, smiles, etc... I include it in your gallery.
